....SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY TO YOU
Social responsibilities exceed the verge of providing excellent services as subscribed or paid for by clients and customers, not even by providing some of the basic amenities require and deserve by such communities.
In a simple term social responsibility is giving back in return to those society whose environments/human resources/natural resources have contributed immensely to the growth and success of the organization within the period of time in existence.
Yes, business is defined as being business by any business minded individual /group, since the paramount motivation
of any investment is to make profit.
I recall a say by Sir Adolf Hitler an icon in the second world war era ‘the ends justifies the means’, this is the concurrent scourge we experience from the multinationals exploring the Niger Delta and on our national waters curbing too much profit from incessant operations. Second in running in these scourge is the telecommunication operators with exorbitant billing rate on using our mobile phones.

These multinationals are not in turn giving back to this societies and the nation at large as expected of them not even to an appreciable extend. Instead what we see these multinationals doing doing is organizing a dancing/singing competitions which ordinarily does not affect the life of the children and mothers that actually need help. It’s being said that when you empower a woman, then sure the nation is saved. We indeed deserve a life touching initiative programmes from these so called multinationals.
It is on this dismay a version of Nigerian’s FARC columbia rebels was organize deep there in the forest of Niger-Delta of Nigeria known as MEND (movement for the emancipation of niger-delta), infringing pains on lifes/tranquility of the inhabitant of that great land. Despising the policy that encourages the foreigner to have invest such huge resources in that part of the country, kidnapping every single foreigner contributing to the exploration of crude oil in their locality. Thank the late president Umar Yar’adu (GCFR) for his amnesty initiative that partly resolve the kaos in that region and hope many have learn from that menace. This implies that most a times responsibilities are function or an integral of businesses.
